Breathing Walls for Car Parks – Suzie Barnett, General Manager at Junglefy

When Suzie was 17, she was told she would marry a farmer or work as a local bank teller. She did neither.

Instead, she became one of the early leaders in the green building movement, helping establish the Green Building Council of Australia and the World Green Building Council, and in 2016 joining the Board of the Living Future Institute of Australia, where she’s currently Chair of their Biophillic Design Initiative.

Suzie joined Junglefy in 2017 and is passionate about restorative, resilient cities and innovative ways to reconnect people to nature to create greater health and wellbeing. As the CEO, Suzie sees a future where there are more women in senior management roles, bringing greater diversity and balance to businesses and Boards.

Building Sustainable Car Parks – Peter McUtchen, Managing Director at PARKD

Peter is the Managing Director of PARKD Ltd (ASX:PKD) which he co-founded in 2016 and listed on the ASX as a construction technology company in 2017. He has extensive experience in the design and construction of post-tensioned structures in Australia and the UK and is considered a Subject Matter Expert in the fields of post tensioning design and construction along with modern methods of construction and LEAN Construction Practice.

Resulting from his background in construction methodologies and innovation, Peter went on to successfully commercialise engineering and construction IP as the Inventor and Innovator behind Australia’s only modular and semi-permanent multi-level car park structural system.

EV Charging and Parking Explained – Stuart Norman, CEO at Parking Australia

Stuart has a unique knowledge of the electrical and parking industries. For four years he managed the National Electrical and Communications Association’s (NECA) energy efficiency and renewables program, EcoSmart Electricians.

For the last four years Stuart has been CEO of Parking Australia developing an extensive understanding of on and off-street parking. Having studied the development of Electric Vehicles (EV) intensely including seeing how EV charging is undertaken in the UK, Scandinavia and Europe Stuart is well placed to outline how EV charging should be undertaken in Australia.

With a mindset of how to make things easier for the customer, Paul drives new innovation within Wilson Parking, pushing the boundaries for what a traditional parking model may be.

Paul is responsible for infrastructure, mobility and electrification trends at Wilson Parking. In this session, Paul will outline how Wilson Parking are approaching Electric Vehicle charging to deliver seamless Parking + Charging experiences for consumers in their car parks, and turnkey solutions for landlords and asset owners which deliver on sustainability goals.

Making On-Street Parking more Sustainable – Michael Moses, Managing Director at Australian Parking Consultants

Michael previously managed the Australian Road Research Board nation-wide parking division.  He has 32 years’ hands-on practical experience in parking operations, management and technology throughout Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the United States, holding senior positions with Wilson Parking and the Airport Parking Corporation of America (APCOA).

He has consulted on management of car parking for office buildings, local governments, airports, shopping centres, hospitals and universities and the supply of technology to city councils and the private sector.  His clients include Coles, AMP,  Brookfield Multiplex, Colliers and Mirvac. In particular, he has  provided parking management as well as planning advice to the Cities of Sydney, Adelaide (UPark), Launceston, Newcastle, North Sydney, Stonnington, Melbourne, Launceston, Hornsby Shire Council and Sutherland Shire Council.

Reducing your Lighting Carbon Footprint – Andrew Orr, Commercial Analyst at Optimise Energy

As Commercial Analyst at Optimise Energy Andrew helps property and car park owners reduce their energy use and achieve long term savings.

He is a specialist in LaaS (Lighting as a Service) assisting clients towards a zero-carbon footprint. Having worked with major car park operators, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and airports, Andrew has demonstrated the ability to make what often seems difficult quite simple.

An experienced Sales Manager, Matt has been focusing over the last 15 years on the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Industries delivering Energy Savings projects to clients in the Construction, Engineering, Industrial and Manufacturing Industries.

Matt was proud to work closely with Primo and deliver projects delivering $1.5M in annual savings. After securing $1M in grants for the client this was awarded the top Energy Savings project of the year.  At Autonomous Energy, Matt is driving new business for the oldest Commercial Solar company in Australia.

As Director of Impact Sustainability, Hayley has been helping businesses understand sustainability and reduce carbon emissions for over a decade.. With qualifications in sustainability, training, energy management and carbon accounting, she’s helped companies such as Ernst & Young, Colonial Leisure Group, SG Fleet, and Cotton On to develop and roll out their sustainability strategies.

She also volunteers her time driving sustainability projects as the co-founder & chair of Sustainable Table, a founding board member of Impact Club, and board member for The Next Economy.

Hayley is passionate about breaking down the barriers that prevent action on climate change; and believes in making it easier for businesses to make a start.
