Parking Insider February 2026

Friday 06, Feb 2026

As we commence 2026, some news from us.

At the end of 2025 we farewelled long-serving Board member Gary Byrne and welcomed new Board members Stuart Kerr and Lee Street.

With the Board member changes finalised, as required at the first meeting of the Board after the AGM, James English and Emily Carson were re-elected to their roles as Parking Australia President and Vice President.

In December we farewelled Trish Paul, who, after nearly a decade of sterling service to Parking Australia, has taken the summer off and will commence 2026 in an expanded role in her rapidly growing family construction business. Trish has been a well-respected team member, and we wish her, Adam, and their family the best and thank her for positive and calm contribution to Parking Australia. Trish, being Trish, did not want a fuss and so we are thanking her now!

Following a particularly personally challenging 2025, Jeremy Irvine elected to finish up as CEO at the end of January. We thank Jeremy for everything he has brought to the Association since he joined us in mid-2023 and send our very warmest wishes as he takes some well-deserved time to reset and recharge ahead of a big year to come.

As we look ahead, the Board is thoughtfully considering what future leadership support may best serve Parking Australia as we move into our next phase.

Whilst we design this next phase, the Board is taking a hands-on approach. We are committed to maintaining the high standard of service you expect. We aren’t just maintaining the status quo; we are growing. We are thrilled to announce the formation of our new ‘Women in Parking’ subcommittee - a vital step in diversifying our voices and creating new leadership paths. This decision was made following the amazing response for the new ‘Women in Parking’ award that showcased at October’s Parking Australia Award dinner.

This is your organisation, and there has never been a better time to make your mark. We are currently exploring several new subcommittees and networking opportunities.

In the interim, your Directors will be personally available to support you and discuss all things parking. We see this as a fantastic chance to hear from you directly. Whether you have a specific query or just want to share your thoughts on the industry, we are listening.

Save the Date: Full details will be unveiled on 25th February in Sydney at our Quarterly Networking Event which will be held at the Darling Quarter Theatre. We can’t wait to see you there! REGISTER NOW!
