Public consultation on updated parking guidelines

As per the information on its website, “The NSW Government has announced a review of both the Permit Parking Guidelines and the Pay Parking and Controlled Loading Zone Guidelines.”

The website includes the explanation of the proposed changes and draft updated guidelines.

The four key proposed changes are: Improving access to beaches and other attractions; ensuring availability regardless of tenure or housing type; prioritising permits for those without on-site parking; and addressing surcharges associated with parking software or payment apps.

Members are invited to be part of Parking Australia’s online briefing at 3.00pm, Tuesday 8 April.

In each of the four areas of the consultation there will be diversity of views across and within of members. In respecting that plurality of perspectives and operational approaches, members wishing to do so can provide input directly to the government, with consultation via parking_guidelines@transport.nsw.gov.au open until 17 April.
