It is sure to be another cracker year for Parking Australia as we continue to expand our membership and deliver on our pledge to provide even more benefits to our members. Whether this is in the form of industry events, networking opportunities, advocacy or simply being kept abreast of the latest news that might impact your organisation, we want Parking Australia to be top of mind for all of our members.
The Board and I look also to your help in spreading the word to your contacts in the industry and encouraging them to join us.
We are currently undertaking the final steps of our transition to a company limited by guarantee (Parking Australia Ltd) and your membership will be automatically transferred to the new entity once all the formalities are completed.
In developing the parking industry, our plan is to showcase our innovative local talent, bringing you examples of best practice from across the diverse sectors that we serve. To that end, we are launching the new Parking Industry Awards for Excellence, which will be announced at a Gala Dinner event (19/08/2015) as part of an inaugural two day educational event (Parking Industry Outlook Conference) to be held in Sydney on August 19 ? 20, so mark your diaries now!
Please put on your thinking caps and consider nominating a project or a person that you?re aware of or have been involved with that has set a new bar in the industry. It?s your opportunity to be recognised for what you have achieved, the obstacles overcome, and perhaps to share the lessons learned with your colleagues in the industry.
Key dates, categories and sponsorship opportunities are listed in this newsletter so please pass it on to anyone else who might be interested. You do not need to be a member to qualify!
The first AGM for PA Ltd will be held on 26 February 2015 at the Amora Hotel in Sydney; elections for two Board positions will be held during the AGM so if you are interested in nominating please refer to additional information on the newsletter.
As I step into the shoes of the President?s role, I invite you to send through your thoughts and feedback on how we as an organisation may serve you better. Please feel free to get in touch with me at this email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
