Parking Australia Hosts Delegation from Japan Parking Business Association

During late November Parking Australia hosted a delegation from Japan’s Ministry of Land, infrastructure and Transport (MLIT) and the General Incorporated Japan Parking Business Association (JPB), who sent a research group to Australia to study transport and parking strategies including parking facilities.

The delegation included 15 senior managers from JPB, who were received by representatives for the Cities of Brisbane and Sydney to learn more about the integration of parking and transport strategies, as well as new technologies that the cities are implementing.

The delegation from JPB hopes to contribute further to new parking facility development policies in Japan’s parking industry by investigating the development status of parking facilities for cars, new technology trends and safety measures in major Australian cities.
