
Online Briefing – Smart Parking Trial
The Royal Automobile Club of Queensland (RACQ) has partnered with eSmart 21 to conduct a Smart Parking Trial. The objective of this project is to test whether AI can be applied as a soft-touch solution to manage disability parking spaces, as often if a person who is unable to access these bays at their desired location it proves an insurmountable barrier to complete basic everyday activities.
Parking Australia is pleased to facilitate a half hour briefing session for members on 21 February 2025 at 1.00pm AEDT (10.00am WA, 12.00pm QLD, 12.30pm SA). The session will be recorded for members.
The purpose of this trial is to understand how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be applied to manage accessibility parking bays, specifically an AI supported camera system has been installed at RACQ’s Eight Mile Plain campus.
