PA Forum Hears From Guest Speakers on the Adelaide City Deal

Parking Australia invited speakers from the Department of Infrastructure, City of Adelaide and Renewal SA to participate in an industry forum entitled ‘Making Adelaide a Smart City’ on 12 November at Adelaide Airport. The $551 million  Adelaide City Deal is a 10-year agreement between the Australian Government, the Government of South Australia and the City of Adelaide to grow Adelaide as an innovative and vibrant city. Governments are working together to deliver projects and initiatives that support the growth of businesses and jobs, encourage the growth of Adelaide’s population, and build on the city’s global reputation in the arts and culture.

Janet Quigley from the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Cities and Regional Development, and Daniel Redden from Renewal SA, together with Ian Hill from City of Adelaide, all presented to an audience of Parking Australia members and guests, on what the deal means for Adelaide, and how to leverage opportunities created by the city deal to make the most for South Australia.

The Department of Infrastructure provided a high level overview of City Deals and achievements to date, and Daniel Redden (Project Director from Lot 14) gave an overview of the developments for Lot 14, followed by Ian Hill’s presentation detailing the Adelaide City commitments.
