Larry Schneider

Larry joined the then Parking Association of Australia in 1990 and was elected to the Committee in 1992. He served for 16 years as a Director and 6 years as President of the association, following his election in 2008. Larry was instrumental in taking the association from strength to strength, notably the rebranding to Parking Australia and the policy development and profile of the national body. He also steered the association through a new corporate structure and facilitated engagement of major parking partners.

“My time with the association has been enormously rewarding, and I have enjoyed it immensely”, said Mr Schneider, upon his formal retirement from the association at the end of 2014. Larry was presented with life membership with Parking Australia in 2015.

Larry is a Principal Consultant at Luxmoore Parking and Safety with more than 30 years experience in all aspects of private and public parking management. He has regional responsibility for the Australian Road Research Board’s projects in network operations, traffic engineering and road safety and manages the West Australian Road Research Innovation Program (WARRIP).
