ADVI Summit Comes to Adelaide
Over 100 Australian and international delegates gathered for the ADVI Annual summit in Adelaide on 12 May. Participants attended from a range of sectors including vehicle manufacturers, the defence sector, government, technology industry and academia. Parking Australia Director, Sharon Prior, attended on behalf of the association.
Conference highlights included keynote address from Dr Greg Calbert, Defence Secretary Fellow DSTO, who explained how driverless vehicle technology will provide effective transport options for logistics and troop movement during military operations. David Pickett, Certification & Engineering Manager from Volvo Cars Australia, discussed liability issues facing car manufacturers.
The one-day summit provided the perfect opportunity for various organisations involved in the ADVI program to meet and exchange information on driverless vehicle technologies.
